Fact Check 28: Most Americans - including Hispanic Americans - support the mass deportation of illegal aliens
We keep being told that only "racists" and "white supremacists" hold such views. This insidious lie only persists because America's most powerful "influencers" ignore the results of these surveys.

Poll: Majority supports mass deportation of undocumented immigrants, Scripps News, September 18, 2024. Excerpt:
A majority of Americans support the mass deportation of undocumented immigrants, according to a new Scripps News/Ipsos survey.
Fifty-four percent of respondents said they “strongly” or "somewhat support” the policy, including 86% of Republicans, 58% of independents, and 25% of Democrats.
The poll, which focuses on the most talked about immigration policies of the 2024 campaign, showcases major partisan divides between voters on how to address one of the biggest topics of the presidential race.
Thirty-nine percent of respondents called immigration a top issue for them this campaign, second only to inflation, which topped the list at 57%. Trump has a ten-point advantage on who respondents think will do a better job handling immigration (44%-34%).

A recent poll found that a majority of Hispanic people favor the mass deportation of undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. illegally.
The CBS News/YouGov poll found that a majority of registered voters overall (62 percent) would favor the government starting "a new national program to deport all undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S. illegally." Thirty-eight percent said they would oppose it. […]
Notably, the poll found that mass deportation was popular with Hispanics, with 53 percent saying they would favor such a program and 47 percent saying they would oppose it. White people were more supportive of mass deportations, with 67 percent saying they would back the program, and 33 percent saying they would oppose it. Among Black people, it was 47 percent in favor and 53 percent opposed.

An Axios poll from April similarly found that 51 percent of Americans (including 42 percent of Democrats) say they would support mass deportations of illegal aliens. There was also approval of certain Trump-proposed immigration restrictions, such as the elimination of birthright citizenship, which 30 percent of Democrats and 46 percent of Republicans oppose.
